MAREY AND CHRONOPHOTOGRAPHY/MAREY ET LA CHRONOPHOTOGRAPHIE

Etienne Jules Marey (1830-1904) is going to be the subject of a day's conference on Wednesday, September 7th, at the University of Burgundy, The exact title is Art and Science of Movement in Marey's Works and it looks very promising, with nine talks, about the relations art/science/images. One of them will be given by the curator of Beaune Museum, Mme Leuba, who showed us around the Marey collection in  May 2012 (four years ago already!) , and the start of a MOOC dedicated to the same subject. Etienne-Jules Marey (1830-1904) va faire l'objet d'un colloque le mercredi 7 septembre à l'Université de Bourgogne. Le titre précis en est L'Art et la Science du Mouvement dans l'oeuvre d'EJ Marey, et le contenu semble très prometteur, avec neuf interventions dédiées aux relations art/science/images. L'un des intervenants est la Conservatrice du Musée de Beaune, Mme Leuba qui nous avait fait visiter les collections Marey en mai 2012 (il y a déjà plus de quatre ans!), et l'inauguration d'un MOOC dédié au même sujet.
